YOU'VE GOT TALENT!
Our friends at Special Needs Mutual "let their lights shine" like never before at our 3rd Annual Talent Show!
What a spectacular evening!
JD wowed us with his engineering skills.
With his own helium tank he filled two balloons and by tying screws to the strings he was able to balance them in mid-air!
JOSHUA entertained us with his "smooth dancing" to Carly Simon. He even offered to give lessons to anyone interested.
KRISTIN modeled the handmade hats she knitted.
And treated us with one of her heart-warming smiles!!
KATIE displayed a pillow she sewed.
Her grandma helped her sew it for a personal progress project.
MADDI stole the show with her song and dance!
She is a superstar!!
CECILY treated us with her homemade gluten-free chocolate chip cookies made from her very own recipe.
Which was especially thoughtful since many of our friends have gluten free diets.
BAYA baked a delicious triple layer chocolate cake!!
She is quite a cook after 3 years of cooking classes.
BRANDON & BAYA signed the song
"Don't Stop Believing"
With the help of their ASL instructor, Holly.
CHAD sang a very moving song he wrote
called "AMEN".
ABBEY shared her favorite treat...Cookie Dough!
It was yummy!
LUCIO stirred up his famous Salsa.
Gracias Lucio!
KAMBRIA freaked us all out with her pain-defying magic!
Her assistant, Brother Jenkins taught her to put a needle through her thumb and pull a sting through her neck.
LAREE dazzled us with several of her many talents...
BRANDON played Fur Elise on the Piano.
It was breath-takingly beautiful.
GAGE did the worm!
What stamina!!! Way to go Gage!
LARRY brought his license plate collection...
He has over 100 license plates!
This is one of his favorites :)
KATELYN made us all laugh with her very funny jokes!
What do bunnies like to dance to?
Hip Hop! (Now that is funny. Ha! Ha!)
DANIEL displayed several of the puzzles he has put together!
We loved that they were of Toy Story characters.
DAVID recited all of the Latter-day Prophets and Apostles, including the Presiding Bishopric.
He also sang Called to Serve.
VICKY displayed the afghan she has been crocheting.
Her Grandmother taught her to crochet one day and she has never quit!
BROTHER DOUGALL stunned us with a
variety of piano pieces...
We especially enjoyed the Happy Song!
MATT announced his plans to attend Community College.
We are so proud of him!
ALEXIE enjoyed the ice cream sundaes after the show!
Sharing our talents makes ourselves and others happy:)
WE LOVE YOU!!!!!
P.S. And of course Chad and Larry
couldn't pass up an opportunity to tease the girls.
